Terms and Conditions – The Dining Company

1. General

These terms and conditions apply to all services, events, community activities and collaborations offered by The Dining Company, based in the Netherlands and operated by C.C. Service International KVK 91700582 (hereinafter referred to as “The Dining Company”).

By participating in events, using services, or entering into a collaboration, the participant or client agrees to these terms and conditions.

2. Services

The Dining Company focuses on organizing events, community activities and guidance aimed at international professionals (expats) and the organizations that employ or support them.

Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • community events
  • social integration activities
  • dinners and gatherings at hospitality venues
  • personal guidance for internationals
  • welcome programs for international employees
  • collaborations with organizations and companies

The exact content of a service or event will be communicated in advance via the website, email, social media or a written agreement.

3. Event registration

Registration for events takes place through the indicated channels (for example Meetup, Eventbrite, or direct registration).

A registration becomes final once payment has been received or participation has been confirmed by The Dining Company.

Participants are responsible for providing correct personal information when registering.

4. Payment

For paid events or services, payment must be completed through the available payment methods.

For business clients, payment may be made by invoice. The payment term for invoices is 14 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If payment is not made on time, The Dining Company reserves the right to refuse participation or suspend services.

5. Cancellation by participant

If a participant cancels their attendance, the following rules apply:

  • Up to 7 days before the event: full refund possible
  • Within 7 days before the event: no refund possible

Tickets may be transferred to another participant if this is communicated in advance.

6. No‑Show policy

If a participant does not attend an event without prior cancellation (no‑show), no refund will be issued.

7. Cancellation or changes by The Dining Company

The Dining Company reserves the right to reschedule, modify or cancel an event if necessary (for example due to insufficient participants, illness, force majeure, or organizational circumstances).

In the case of cancellation, the paid amount will be refunded or an alternative event or new date will be offered.

8. Behaviour within the community and at events

The Dining Company aims to create a safe, open and respectful community.

Participants are expected to treat other participants, organizers, locations and partners with respect.

Commercial promotion within community channels or during events is not allowed without prior permission.

In case of inappropriate behaviour, The Dining Company reserves the right to deny a participant access to events or community channels without refund.

9. Food, allergies and dietary requirements

Events organized by The Dining Company take place at hospitality venues such as restaurants or cafés.

Participants are responsible for informing the venue about allergies or dietary requirements.

The Dining Company cannot be held responsible for food allergies, dietary-related complaints, or food preparation by third parties such as restaurants or catering companies.

10. Photos and video

Photos or videos may be taken during events for promotional and communication purposes of The Dining Company (such as website, social media and marketing materials).

By participating in an event, participants give permission for this material to be used.

If a participant prefers not to appear in photos or videos, this can be communicated in advance.

11. Liability

The Dining Company organizes events and activities with care and attention.

Participation in events and activities is at the participant’s own risk.

The Dining Company cannot be held liable for:

  • personal injury
  • loss or damage to personal belongings
  • indirect damages

unless there is intent or gross negligence.

12. Collaboration with companies

When collaborating with companies or organizations, specific agreements may be documented in a quotation or contract.

These agreements take precedence over these general terms if they differ from them.

13. Intellectual property

All content, concepts, event formats, texts, and materials developed by The Dining Company remain the intellectual property of The Dining Company unless agreed otherwise in writing.

14. Privacy

Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable privacy legislation (GDPR).

15. Force majeure

In case of force majeure (such as pandemics, natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes or other circumstances beyond the control of The Dining Company), events may be postponed or cancelled without liability.

16. Applicable law

These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law.

Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved through mutual consultation. If this is not possible, the dispute will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
